They are known for good support all over the country. Pete's : JBS / Custom Code maps - Custom Code is also a good VAG tuner. They have done IS38 build on new Octavia 1.8 tsi (again first in India). Their own Laura 1.8 TSI does 0-100 in 4.6 seconds (GTech logged). E Tuners Motorsports have done couple of VAG builds. The cost would be little more, but worth it.Į Tuners motorsports : They are relatively new in India. These 2 firms are well known globally and invest a lot on research and development. Only 2 names come to my mind : APR & Revo Technik. Based on what I have seen / heard, I will list down few cars and who are good at it. I personally know many guys running with remaps from different tuners. I always say Choose the tuner based on the car which you are going to remap. That's a very tough question and it has no answer frankly. I hardly see any info on tuners in here.There are so many tuners, offers and a lot of competition. I would prefer someone available in or around Kolkata. Is it safe to work on the Hyundai 1.5/1.6 Diesel? Is there any issue expected in the long term?Īlso, I would need suggestions about tuners who have worked on the Hyundai/KIA's 1.5 Diesel. I would not prefer to make any hardware modification at this point. I was thinking to go for a remap where I can combine the accelerator inputs from the sports mode and shift points from the normal mode. Although the shift points are a little higher, probably at around 3500 rpm. In the Sport mode, the car reacts to any accelerator input instantly. The shift points are about 2000-2200 rpm range, slightly higher if the A pedal is pressed hard. In the normal mode, the car takes about half a second to a second to react to the accelerator input. It has a few drive modes, Eco, Normal, and Sport. I have a KIA Sonet Diesel automatic, bought in December 2020. ![]()
